This policy explains how Baobab handles personal information when you visit the website, create an account, work in a course workspace, publish learning, contact us, or use a learner experience delivered through Baobab. A customer organization may separately control learner or employee data placed in its workspace.
2. Information we collect
We collect account and workspace details, content you choose to upload, collaboration and review activity, support communications, billing records, and technical information such as device, browser, IP address, and service logs. For learner experiences, we may process progress, responses, completion, and other events configured by the publishing organization.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, save and publish course work, support collaboration, process payments, respond to requests, diagnose problems, measure product reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
4. AI-assisted features
When you choose an AI-assisted feature, the source material and instructions needed for that request may be sent to the configured model provider. Workspace controls and the notice shown with the feature describe the applicable handling. Do not submit sensitive personal information unless your organization has approved that use.
5. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed with vendors that support hosting, storage, email, analytics, payment processing, security, and optional AI features; with a workspace owner or administrator; when you direct us to publish or export content; or when law requires it. Providers receive only the access needed for their role.
6. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet contractual or legal duties, resolve disputes, and maintain legitimate records. We use access controls, encryption in transit, audit records, and operational safeguards appropriate to the information, while recognizing that no online service can promise absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can update core account details in the product and can ask about access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information. Some requests must be handled by the organization that controls the workspace or learner experience. You can also manage browser settings and optional analytics preferences where available.
8. International use and changes
Baobab may process information in countries where its service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate protections for cross-border transfers. We may update this policy as the service and legal requirements change, and will identify the effective date of the current version.
